Drug resistance is a common challenge facing cancer patients. In this episode, Dr. Brian Keppler demonstrates how metabolomics was crucial to understanding the mechanism of how a genetic mutation in patients with relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) resulted in resistance to therapy. This work also identified a potential novel target in relapsed patients that can be exploited in a combination therapy approach.
