A Year of Community Impact

This Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to giving back and making a positive impact, we reflect on the incredible year of community service that our team has had.

At Metabolon, our commitment to social responsibility goes beyond words, and we take pride in our efforts to contribute to the well-being of the communities we serve.

Annual Volunteer Day

This year, our team united for our annual Volunteer Day in July, a day filled with camaraderie and a shared mission to make a difference. We partnered with several remarkable organizations that resonate with our core company values. From preserving the natural beauty of Umstead State Park in NC, providing support to those in need through the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC, caring for animals at the Orange County Animal Shelter, assisting Families Moving Forward, contributing to the Trosa Thrift Store, helping Cradles to Crayons in the Boston Area, or cleaning up the canals of Dublin, Ireland, our global workforce had a profound effect on the communities we serve. Many of our remote team members rolled up their sleeves to participate in volunteer activities at various organizations in their own local communities. We also offered a virtual option for employees to make cards for kids with cancer.

Bridging the Digital Divide: Laptops for Chaptops

Recognizing the importance of education and access to technology, we proudly donated dozens of used laptops to Chaptops, an organization dedicated to delivering computers to schools and organizations in Alta Verapaz, the poorest region of Guatemala. In Chaptops’ one year of existence, Metabolon has supplied 50 of the 210 laptops shipped to Guatemala.

Life Science Cares: Nurturing Hope and Health

In alignment with our commitment to health and well-being, we made a significant donation to support the 3rd annual Timmerman Traverse – a team of 22 life science executives who participated in a three-day, 23-mile hike across the Presidential Traverse in New Hampshire’s White Mountains to benefit Life Science Cares (LSC). LSC partners with nonprofits to disrupt the cycle of poverty and inequality in our communities, and our contribution contributes to their impactful work in healthcare, education, and beyond.

Spreading Holiday Cheer: Food Drive for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC

As the holiday season approaches, we turn our attention to those who may be facing challenges during this time. This year, we’re proud to announce our participation in a holiday food drive benefiting the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC. Our team is coming together to collect donations and spread joy to families in need during the festive season.
