Metabolon provides comprehensive biochemical profiling services for biopharmaceutical and life science clients.

These services are built around our comprehensive metabolomics platform technology and provide the following:

un-biased, global analysis of biochemicals (the metabolome) in a biological sample
detailed comparison of how biochemicals change in response to experimental variables (drug versus control, disease versus normal, time point versus time zero)
analysis of samples by both GC-MS and LC-MS for detecting the broadest range of biochemicals
identification of hundreds of biochemicals using our extensive database
sophisticated visualization and analysis for seeing changes across many biochemicals
biochemical interpretation of changes in the context of biochemistry pathways and the experimental variables

mVision™ is Metabolon's premier service offering, providing unparalleled insight into the biochemical and physiological state of the organism. The service begins with consultation with one of our project managers to design the study for greatest statistical power. After samples are received at Metabolon, they proceed through a multi-step process resulting in the following deliverables:

Identification of named biochemicals (those matched to our database)
Tracking of un-named biochemicals (novel compounds for future structural elucidation)
Rigorous statistical analysis to determined significant changes in both named and un-named biochemicals
Initial data presentation of results, allowing client input into next steps of analysis
Detailed, biochemical pathway-specific analysis of changes
Comprehensive interpretation of changes in their biological context
Final report (30-40 pages) covering all study findings
