Metabolon’s discovery engine is unique in its ability to develop an understanding
of disease states and new treatment modalities much faster and more accurately than
ever before. With traditional diagnostic development, many years of clinical research
in a disease area is needed to discover relevant biomarkers before a diagnostic
test is undertaken.
Metabolon’s diagnostic development, however, focuses on market need and begins collecting
clinical samples before utilizing its biomarker discovery engine. Using its rapid
discover engine, Metabolon quickly identifies relevant biomarkers and then is in
a position to launch a diagnostic test. This process takes only one to two years
as compared to the traditional timeline of five to 15. The biomarker discovery platform
