Metabolon’s non-biased global metabolomic screening platform is a powerful tool for identifying biomarkers related to disease and drug therapy. Metabolon has successfully completed diagnostic biomarker discovery and targeted assay development for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease). For this work, Metabolon has received a patent that broadly covers the metabolomic methods used to identify the molecular profiles, or biomarkers, seen in patients with ALS.
