Metabolon is seeking a Manager or Director currently working within the life science area, namely the pharmaceutical sector. The Director of Sales will be responsible for managing a team of three key account managers, with potential of 5 before years’ end, in the US, two key account managers and two contract reps in Europe as well as distributor relationships in Europe and Asia, namely Japan, focusing on growing the Metabolomics services business. Customers and prospects include: Large Pharma, Biotech, Diagnostic, and Consumer companies and academic institutions in Europe and Asia. This position will have significant impact on company growth as this sector represents the highest margin business unit.
It is preferred that this position be based in Durham, NC, however consideration for the right candidate will be given in the Boston, MA area. This position reports to the SVP of Sales and Marketing
Working with minimum supervision to manage, coach, develop direct reports.
Work with marketing to develop sector specific marketing campaigns, collateral and execution strategies with existing and potential customers.
Expected to prioritize and manage resources to maximize benefit and work closely with SVP of Sales and Marketing, Marketing team, Project Management team and R&D to develop, test and to introduce new applications and services to the market.
