Metabolon is seeking a Chemical Spectra Analyst to be an integral member of our research team.  This is an entry-level position and will be responsible for checking software matches to chemical spectra from biological samples to an online library of biochemicals.  The successful candidate will have experience in basic chemistry or strong mathematical skills.

Metabolon, headquartered in Research Triangle Park, NC, is a services and diagnostic products company offering the industry’s leading biochemical profiling platform.  Metabolon’s patented platform provides a global, comprehensive analysis of biological samples for the discovery of biochemical biomarkers providing insight into complex biochemical processes such as drug action, toxicology and bioprocess optimization.  Due to our rapidly growing services business, Metabolon is seeking a Science Development Director to be an integral member of our sales team. 

Metabolon has been actively selling their mView service product into academic and government spaces.  The Science Development Director will be responsible for supporting pre- and post- sales activities within a defined geography to grow the metabolomics services business. This position will have significant impact on the market growth in these sectors. This position will cover the Northeast.  States include MA, Eastern NY, CT, RI, ME, VT.  Candidates are required to be in close proximity to an airport.  Locations preferred:  Boston or New York.  This position reports to the National Director of Sales-Academic and Gov’t.

Responsibilities

  • Work with minimum supervision to educate, support and develop existing and potential customers through a combination of sales and marketing efforts such as seminars, WebEx, in-person client meetings and trade shows.
  • Identify client needs, expectations and manage deal terms through the contractual process.
  • Prioritize and manage resources to maximize benefit and work closely with Marketing and R&D to drive publications with the academic and government markets
